Instrumental was developed in MAX/MSP 8 as an interactive visual display. Those who interact with the piece are able to create a unique instrumental and emotional artwork by altering the visual display and audio pieces, allowing the user to become the visual and music artist. Each individual can follow their own aesthetic to become immersed in the artwork by controlling each visual and audio element in real-time.

Two video clips play simultaneously, and each instrument in a collective audio track are able to be manipulated by the user in a MiraWeb platform. The user can control the hue, saturation, lightness, brightness, contrast, saturation, and fade between the two videos. With the audio, the user can choose to play or stop instrumental pieces in a collective song, including the drums, bass, piano, strings, guitar, and reverb.
